Josh Burgel,  Principal

Josh Burgel

With 20 years of experience both in the office and in the field, Josh is sought out by clients to support multi-faceted design projects where his experience leading landscape architectural projects through to completion enable him to collaborate with stakeholders and teaming partners to build culturally relevant work. Spanning play spaces to city scale interventions, Josh’s award-winning work continuously strives to improve our environment by celebrating the best a place and its people has to offer.       
 

Contributing to Boston Society of Architecture’s Boston Marathon and Suffolk Downs urban design charrettes he has helped imagine a more resilient and meaningful future for his City.  

 

Josh holds a B.A. in Studio Art and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and an M.L.A. from Harvard University.  Prior to joining LemonBrooke, Josh was a Senior Associate at Crosby|Schlessinger|Smallridge in Boston and Michael Van Valkenburg Associates in Cambridge, MA.  
 

When not in the office, he can be found enjoying the landscape with his family, on one of his bikes, or from a pair of skis.
