Brooke Whiting Cash,  Senior Associate

Brooke_photo.JPG

Brooke has been building and growing things since she was a child, bringing her interests in horticulture and construction together in the field of Landscape Architecture. Brooke has over 15 years of experience working on a diverse range of projects including campus planning, institutional and residential design, and historic landscapes.

After attending Amherst College, Brooke pursued a Masters of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she was awarded the Van Alen Traveling Prize to study significant designed landscapes throughout Western Europe. This complemented earlier travel visiting notable gardens in Great Britain while a Horticultural Student for the National Trust.

Before joining Christian and Jennifer, Brooke worked for Michael Vergason Landscape Architects (Alexandria, VA) and Richard Burck Associates (Somerville, MA). Many of her previous projects included “green roofs” or significant expanses of landscape over-structure, from which Brooke has developed particular expertise in the building envelope/planting interface and innovative integration of storm water management in the landscape.

Outside of the office, Brooke stays busy renovating the 19th century farmhouse and garden she shares with her family.
