Marine Wharf, a contemporary 411 room hotel located in the burgeoning Seaport District looks to the history of the adjacent working dry docks to inspire the look and feel of the project. The project will provide a variety of outdoor amenities including ground floor retail with alfresco dining, an expansion and improvement to the adjacent Marine Industrial Park creating better access to the waterfront, a drop-off plaza with a maritime sculpture, an elevated pool deck, and roof top terraces for lounging and dining with spectacular views to the harbor and downtown Boston.
The hotel’s first floor and has been raised 3’ above the current road grades to accommodate sea level rise. Consequently, this is one of the first examples in the Seaport where the public streetscape accommodates current conditions with strategies to access the building at a higher sea level in the future.
