Commonwealth Fusion Systems

Devens, Massachusetts

Commonwealth Fusion Systems – a company seeking a scientific breakthrough in green energy production is developing a new 47-acre site in the life sciences cluster of Devens, MA together with King Street Properties.   LEMON BROOKE developed a landscape master plan for the site including a central green at the heart of the campus which organizes the building masses and offers opportunities for social and recreational interactions in an academic, quad-like setting.  The planting strategies throughout the remainder of the campus seek to employ a simple palette sympathetic to regional vegetative communities and repair disturbance at site edges knitting the campus into the local successional forest typology.
